Celebrating Samhain ~ Summer's End

born with a heart of knowing
remained due to upbringing
owls hoots and wolves singing
wisdom of bears and birds tweeting
call of the wind and water flowing
witch full of natures knowing
veils between seen and unseen now thinning
wisdom available reminds of hearts knowing
tis the season of internal remembering

Wishing you a wonderful Halloween
and Samhain Celebration!

also, in the actual piece of art, her hair is not orange,
it is shades of gold, but I could not show this on the scan, oh well.

Recently I won not one, but TWO give aways!

Mermaid Moon ~

champion of the sea

will you befriend me

teach me of the fluid arts

a mutable dance with all my parts

does seaweed talk to you

sitting under the deep sky blue

in her wild language she did sing

a song that rang and rang

dance my dear

dance with each moment true

oh, please help~
my scanner is not big enough for this,
how do you capture/photograph your art with accurate colors and texture?
I finally took the first and third image in the daylight,
they are fairly accurate, her tail is more a coppery bronze and her hair a transparent magenta violet.

Forests of Dreams

forests of dreams
live within
sprouting and thriving
from the planet of her flesh
animating her days
and nights
strong dreams
dreams with roots
heavenly dreams
like a tree
a life full of living dreams

this is how she began:

I was not pleased.....
so I painted her hair the pale color thinking I would paint over it....
but I liked the pale color.
I love how art can continually change until we are complete with it.

I have missed joining in with Sunday Sketches, it is so nice to be back.
